Best practice: Eating should not be allowed. There needs to be a means of communication with emergency medical services. Transportation staff should be trained to recognize allergic reactions and implement emergency procedures. It is recommended that bus drivers be trained in the administration of epinephrine although this is dependent on state and local regulations and guidelines.
