This Egg Allergy Education webpage from Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network provides some background information about egg allergies. It tells about the percentage of children with an egg allergy, and reports it is one of the most common food allergy to be outgrown. There is also information about egg-free substitues that can be used in recipes, food that may be unexpected or hidden sources of egg allergens such as in egg replacers, some pastas, or as a coating on pretzels. Information about egg allergies ad and MMR and the flu vaccine is also given. At the bottom of the page there is also pdf link that you can print on how to read labels for an egg-free diet.
