Which Medications to Use For An Asthma Attack

With all the medications that are out there to treat asthma, it is difficult to know which one to use first when you are having an asthma attack. You want to use the one that gives you the fastest relief – that is albuterol. It can come in different forms – a nebulizer or a metered dose inhaler (MDI or “puffer”). MDI’s can come under different names like ProAir, Ventolin, etc. But be careful since there are other asthma medications (like Flovent) which can also come as a puffer so maker sure you know which one you are using.
